Age of starting solid foods in a infant may be related to diabetes

People generally don’t tend to care much about the time when their child should be started on solid foods. Lot of grandparents myths are followed in this issue. Some say a baby should be started on solid food at 3 months age, for some its 6 m0nths and for some it may even at 1 year of age. Now the question is, if the timing when to start solid food for a baby is important at all. The answer is yes, it matters a lot and of your wonder this simple timing errors can be related to the chances of developing diabetes type 1 in a kid.

Evidences hint that if a baby is started on solid food before four months of age or at six months or after 6 months, one may be at high risk of developing type 1 diabetes. Although how such timing is important are not that clear and will be unfolded in near future hopefully. Therefore, solid foods introduction between 4 and 5 months might be the ideal time according to the experts.
