Tall women, cancer risk after menopause

If we try listing what causes cancer in postmenopausal women the list may include many things like oestrogen, red meat, alcohol, smoking etc. But one would probably never wonder that even being tall may be a possible factor related to cancer. Interestingly new info highlights that postmenopausals those who are tall are more prone to certain types of cancer like cancer of breast, colon, endometrium, kidney, ovary etc.

This is obviously something interesting. According to a school of thought, good childhood nutrition may be linked with a better height and finally cancer, although all are still in list of possibilities and yet to be proved. However, this may in future lead to more rigorous screening of tall women during their post menopausal days for cancers.
