What is the meaning of oliguria, oligoanuria and anuria?

  • Oliguria is a health condition when an individual passes less than 400ml urine per day.
  • Oligoanuria is a condition when the urine passage reduces further and becomes less than 100 ml per day.
  • Whereas anuria is a complete absence of urine output.
  • In acute or chronic failure excreted urine volume might decrease and these terms can become relevant.
